Poured In Place Rubber Surfacing
Poured in place rubber playground surfacing is the newest and greatest innovation in playground surfacing to date. Poured in place rubber takes all of the strengths of traditional rubber mulch and and has none of the weaknesses of a loose fill.
Using a unique two step process, poured in place rubber consists of two layers. The bottom layer is composed of shredded rubber, the top layer of colorful rubber granules. The rubber is joined with
a polyurethane binder. Once the layers have dried and appropriately cured, the result is a smooth solid surface with the same impact absorbing properties as rubber mulch; without the hassle of a loose fill playground surfacing material. Poured in place rubber allows for intricate designs, patterns, lines and curves; as well as inlaid images and shapes. Poured in place rubber is by far the most attractive playground surface currently available. Poured in place rubber is known to last in excess of 20 + years.

Curbing and Perimeter
Florida-Playgrounds.com is happy to offer you a variety of curbing and perimeter options for your playground. We offer traditional cement curbing, wood curbing and also plastic curbing. We have an option for every budget and space.
Cement Curbing is our preferred method for containing your playground and playground surfacing. We custom design, shape and contour our cement curbs to compliment your existing landscape and playground. Our cement curbs come in three different designs and can be customized further
with the addition of colors, stamps and patterns. When properly installed, cement curbing can last for 20 + years.
Our wood curbing is typically made from pressure treated pine beams, then anchored into the ground via re bar. Pressure treated pine is an excellent material for playground surfacing perimeter. We like to use this material in conjunction with traditional wood mulch and wood fencing as it provides a very natural look to the playground.
Plastic curbing has been used in playgrounds in more recent times. We offer and install this product, however we do not recommend it as highly as our cement and wood products. Plastic curbing historically has been less durable then our other products. We have also noticed that children have a tendency to kick it and attempt to remove it from the ground.
